Selection & Financial Support
The Quantum Hackathon - SESAME 2026 can host up to 28 students, so participation is limited and applications will be reviewed after the registration deadline.
Selection
Selection will mainly be based on:

the applicant’s academic and technical background,
-
relevant skills and experience, and
-
participation and engagement in the pre-hackathon training
The pre-hackathon training is open to everyone, but participation in the training will be taken into consideration when selecting participants for the main hackathon.
Applicants are kindly asked to make sure that the information provided in the registration form and CV is complete and up to date.
Gender Equality
We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all applicants and to encouraging balanced participation in the hackathon.
Women are particularly encouraged to apply, and gender balance will be taken into consideration as part of the overall selection process, while maintaining the academic and technical criteria described above.
Financial Support
A limited amount of financial support is available for selected participants. Applicants who need support should clearly indicate this in the registration form.
Depending on where the participant is coming from, the support may include:

Participants coming from outside Jordan: travel tickets, local transportation, accommodation, and catering.

Participants based in Jordan: accommodation and catering.
As funding is limited, requesting financial support does not automatically mean that it will be granted. The support available to each selected participant will be confirmed after the application review.
Applicants who are able to participate using their own or institutional funding are encouraged to indicate this in the registration form.
Please note that accommodation support includes catering during the supported stay.
